MOSIX is a management system targeted for high performance computing on Linux clusters and multi-clusters. It supports both interactive processes and batch jobs.

In MOSIX there is no need to modify or link applications with any library, copy files or login to remote nodes, or even assign processes to different nodes. It is all done automatically, similar to a single computer with multiple processors - just fork and forget.

The latest production distribution is MOSIX for Linux-2.6 (MOSIX2). This distribution supports dynamic configurations of multiple clusters (both private and shared) in organizational grids.

  • NEW: A free evaluation copy of a pre-installed virtual-disk image for creating a MOSIX virtual cluster on Linux and/or Windows computers was released.
